Work & Internship CV

Aillwee Cave often looks for tourguides in the summer season. Prospective candidates should have a good general knowledge of Geology and First Aid experience. This position is to conduct tours through the cave in an efficient, safe and responsible way. Full training is provided to develop knowledge and confident tour.

Qualifications: Leaving Cert or equivalent desirable. In general a desire to be helpful, friendly and flexible is essential - we need people who are interested in providing an exceptional level of Customer Service. Each position will have in-house training provided.

Experience: Previous experience in Customer Service, Sales, Catering and Retail would also be an advantage for all above positions. Knowledge of geology and First Aid essential for Tour Guide Position.

Hours of Work: 5 days per week, we are open 7 days per week, 2 days off per week.  The working day is from 10.00am.  All statutory breaks are given and paid for.

Uniform: Uniform will be provided. Staff must provide black trousers and professional black comfortable shoes. We require staff to present a neat professional appearance.

Rate of Pay: Employees are paid an hourly rate depending on the position and experience. Average week is 39 hours worked with standard conditions of employment.
